No surprises. Here is what a skin check costs at Bulimba Skin Cancer Clinic.
Skin checks
Fees start at $145 and can be higher for a more involved appointment. The Medicare rebate starts at $45.05 and depends on the length and type of your consultation. If you have a lot of spots, or several areas you want looked at, tell reception when you book. Your doctor will tell you the fee before anything extra goes ahead.
How billing works here
We are a private billing practice
Oxford Street Medical Centre does not bulk bill. Fees are payable at the time of your appointment, and if you have your Medicare details registered with us the rebate is usually back in your account within a day or two.
You do not need a referral
Book a skin check directly. No referral from another doctor is required.
Procedures are charged separately
If a spot needs a biopsy or removing, that is a separate fee on top of the consultation, and there may be a pathology cost. Your doctor will go through the numbers with you before anything happens.
Saturdays and after hours cost more
