Fees start at $145 and can be higher for a longer or more involved appointment. The Medicare rebate starts at $45.05 and is higher for longer consultations, so if your doctor bills a longer appointment you also get more back. If you have a lot of spots, or several areas you want looked at, tell reception when you book so enough time is set aside. Your doctor will tell you the fee before anything extra goes ahead.
Oxford Street Medical Centre does not bulk bill. Fees are payable at the time of your appointment, and if you have your Medicare details registered with us the rebate is usually back in your account within a day or two.
Book a skin check directly. No referral from another doctor is required.
If a spot needs a biopsy or removing, that is a separate fee on top of the consultation, and there may be a pathology cost. Your doctor will go through the numbers with you before anything happens.
